KASHMIR JOURNAL OF GEOLOGY (KJG) POLICIES
AIMS AND SCOPE
Kashmir Journal of Geology (KJG) is a multidisciplinary international journal that aims to provide the most complete and reliable source of information on current development in the field of Geosciences. The KJG covers all the fields of Geosciences (e.g., Structural Geology, Geophysics, Tectonics, Engineering Geology, Sedimentology, Palaeontology, Geohazards, Geomorphology, Petroleum Geology, Petrology, Geochemistry, GIS and Remote Sensing, etc.). The journal is set to publish quality original research articles covering broad areas of Geosciences on annual basis both in print and online volumes to make them freely available to researchers worldwide. KJG editors welcome authors from all over the globe for their contributions.
PUBLICATION FREQUENCY
Kashmir Journal of Geology (KJG) publishes 1 issue per year in December.
AUTHORSHIP
Authorship of the paper should be limited to those who have made a significant contribution to the conception, design, execution, or interpretation of the reported study. All those who have made significant contributions should be listed as co-authors. Where others have participated in certain substantive aspects of the research project, they should be acknowledged or listed as contributors. The corresponding author should ensure that all appropriate co-authors and no inappropriate co-authors are included in the paper and that all co-authors have seen and approved the final version of the paper and have agreed to its submission for publication.
ETHICAL AND PLAGIARISM POLICY
To maintain high standards of publications, certain requirements are essential for contributors that their work should be an original contribution, not submitted/published elsewhere, and is plagiarism-free. Kashmir Journal of Geology (KJG) follows the Higher Education Commission (HEC) Ethical Guidelines and Plagiarism Policy.
Editorial Procedures
Review Policy
Kashmir Journal of Geology (KJG) follows the double-blind peer review policy. Once the manuscript is initially assessed for its suitability for the journal and similarity index, it is sent to a minimum of two independent expert reviewers to assess the quality of the manuscript. The Editor-in-Chief is responsible for the final decision regarding the acceptance or rejection of articles.
English Corrections
To facilitate proper peer-reviewing of your manuscript, it must be submitted in grammatically correct English. If you are not a native English speaker, we recommend that you have your manuscript professionally edited before submission or read by a native English-speaking colleague. All accepted manuscripts undergo language editing.
ARTICLE PROCESSING CHARGES (APC)
Currently, the Kashmir Journal of Geology (KJG) does not charge any article processing or publication fee from the authors.
DISCLOSURE AND CONFLICTS OF INTEREST
Kashmir Journal of Geology (KJG) requires that corresponding authors, on behalf of all the authors of submission, must disclose any potential sources of financial and personal relationships with other people or organizations that could inappropriately influence (bias) their work. Potential sources of conflict of interest include but are not limited to: patent or stock ownership, membership of a company board of directors, membership of an advisory board or committee for a company, and consultancy for or receipt of speaker's fees from a company. The existence of a conflict of interest does not preclude publication. If the authors have no conflict of interest to declare, they must also state this at submission.
SUBMISSION DECLARATION AND VERIFICATION
Submission of an article implies that the work described has not been published previously (except in the form of an abstract, a published lecture or academic thesis) that it is not under consideration for publication elsewhere, that its publication is approved by all authors and tacitly or explicitly by the responsible authorities where the work was carried out, and that, if accepted, it will not be published elsewhere in the same form, in English or any other language, including electronically without the written consent of the copyright holder.
ERRATA AND CORRECTIONS
Authors and readers are encouraged to notify the Editor-in-Chief if they find errors in published content, authors’ names and affiliations or if they have reasons for concern over the legitimacy of a publication. In such cases, the journal will publish an ERRATUM in consultation with the Editor-in-Chief and authors of the article, and/or replace or retract the article.
